surf report, NSW

Well compared to the pretty green walls of Snapper it look typically grim here again this morning. There’s definitely no appreciable increase in size, with a continuation of surf in the 3ft range (or so). Winds are light from the SE so it’s blown out on the open sides. Small point surf and in sheltered corners is on the menu. TC Sandra has intensified to low end Cat4 but is still not in the swell window proper. It should turn to a more southerly track in the next 12-24 hrs, skirting down the western side of Grand Terre. We’ll get a good groundswell from this system under current modelling with the second half of the week filled with solid swell. Till then, it’s more of the same.

Other areas away from big rivers would look prettier than this.
